Q: Who is the crazy crayon breaker behind I Break Crayons?
A: Molly Harris, board certified pediatric occupational therapist, mom, and all around fun maker.
Q: Molly, why do you break crayons? What did they ever do to you?
A: Great question! Nothing...I actually love crayons and love to color. But, breaking crayons is a really easy way to help kids learn how to hold writing utensils the right way (there's a whole list of reasons why that's important, but I'll save that for another post!).
Q: What is your blog about, anyway?
A: Providing parents, teachers, therapists, caregivers, etc. fun, engaging, and thoughtful play-based activities to help children grow and develop to the best of their abilities. Also, consulting with people about ideas and strategies for children whose development may be hindered by any number of diagnoses or delays.
Q: What sort of activities do you focus on?
A: Play-based activities in all areas of development - fine & gross motor skills, sensory processing & integration, visual perceptual skills, visual motor skills, handwriting, coordination, and much, much more!
Q: Is it ok to contact you to ask advice or comment on your posts?
A: I LOVE hearing from readers! I always encourage my readers to comment and share as much as you'd like. My belief is that the best ideas are born when we collaborate and brainstorm! Feel free to contact me at any time at b r e a k t h e c r a y o n s @ g m a i l . c o m {no spaces!} with questions, concerns or just to say hi!
I'm excited you're here and look forward to getting to know you better on the blog!
Thanks for stopping by and please enjoy!
